How to Take Care of My Skin When Going to the Beach in Mazatlan!

Jun 14, 2023

I am going to take a trip to the beach with my friends. I'm worried about the skin damage that can be caused by UV rays from the sun, because I usually have sensitive skin. How do you recommend taking care of my skin?

Your face is vulnerable to harmful effects from the environment and you need to be careful when you are outdoors. Follow these simple steps, so your face doesn't end up irritated or damaged due to exposure.

1) ¡Wear sunscreen!

Put on an ample amount of sunscreen (SPF 30 at least!) before heading outside into any sort of sunlight. If you have sensitive skin, choose products that are fragrance-free and light in texture as well as hypoallergenic; these will be more soothing for your sensitive skin. Be sure to reapply every two hours, even if you're wearing makeup that has SPF in it- nothing can compare to the protection of sunscreen! Sunscreen is the best way to ensure your skin doesn't get burned and that there aren't any long-term damage caused by UV rays.

2) Don't rub the sunlight into your face.

After applying sunscreen, don't let yourself burn more time than necessary when exposed to UV rays. If possible, try not to spend a lot of time outdoors but if you have no choice, then be very careful.

3) Drink plenty of water

When you're spending time outdoors, it's important that you have enough water on hand so that your body stays well-hydrated and able to function normally. Drinking even just one glass of water can fend off heat exhaustion or other similar health issues; make sure you're always drinking enough fluids when outside in the hot sun! It's better to be safe than sorry; don't do anything too vigorous if you aren't well-hydrated. If possible, try not to exercise as much until after you've enjoyed your vacation at the beach in Mazatlan, because overexertion could worsen any existing conditions such as dry or sensitive skin.

4) Take a cool shower or bath

When you get home or back to your hotel, don't forget to have a nice cool shower or bath. This will help your body feel relaxed after spending time outdoors in the sun and wind as well! If you can find soothing products like green tea-based ones, then it's even better; these will surely do the trick of moisturizing your skin without causing further irritation.

5) Wear sunscreen when working out indoors too

If you're exercising inside during this season, make sure to put on an ample amount of sunscreen (SPF 30 at least!) before starting your workout routines. You may not think that indoor working out is harmful for your skin but UV rays travel through glass and can still damage your skin! Be sure to reapply every two hours, even if you're wearing makeup that has SPF in it- nothing can compare to the protection of sunscreen!

6) Don't forget about the rest of your body

While spending time outdoors at the beach or on a warm day is fun for everyone, don't forget that some areas are more vulnerable than others. For example, be careful not to hurt or strain the area around your eyes by putting too much tension on them when squinting under the sun; use sunglasses instead whenever possible. When you're working out, be extra careful to avoid overexertion when exercising parts of your body such as your neck and shoulders; these areas may be more sensitive than the others during this season and need extra care. Be especially careful about your ears as well; avoid putting them in any positions where a lot of sunlight can reach them or soak into them, since this could cause infection and other annoying complications.

7) Moisturize regularly

If you're planning on going to the beach or staying outdoors for a long time, invest in some moisturizers and use them regularly. Look for products that contain ingredients such as shea butter or cocoa butter; these are especially good because they protect your skin from drying out and keep it soft and supple, even when exposed to excessive sunlight! You can get an all-over body scrub at many drugstores too. Exfoliation helps improve the texture of your skin so that its appearance is clearer and more radiant; it's a great way to give yourself a nice treatment without having to go to a salon.

At least once every two days, do an intensive moisturizing routine for your body. If you don't know how to apply moisturizing lotion correctly, ask a friend. Skin that is moist tends to be healthier and less irritated by contact with various substances like sand and water.
